100 Prom Dresses Project - Year 2

Let's make some dreams come true... again.

Hello friends, first of all, I'd like to thank all of you who have supported the 100 Prom Dresses Project last school year. While we weren't able to reach our 100 dresses target, we were able to reach 72 dresses and make so many girls happy. Thank you to those who gave dresses, thank you to those who helped out with the makeup on Prom Day, and thank you for those who prayed for the success of this endeavor. The girls at Kalayaan National High School send their warmest thanks.

We at Soroptimist International - Paranaque are about to launch the 100 Prom Dresses Project again for this year. And we hope you will support us as you've supported us last year, whether by giving dresses, helping out on the day of the Prom, giving Personality Development and Leadership workshops, joining our organization, or telling others about the project. And if you're free on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 5pm, do join us for the Year 2 Launch of the project in Merville, Paranaque.

Once again, thank you very much. And together, let us help make the lives of women and girls all over our country better.

52 Dresses

Happy New Year! We're happy to announce that we're now at 52 dresses. And we're so touched that some of our donors even gave full outfits, complete with shoes and accessories! And guess what, we even have guys donating dresses (no, it's not theirs. They buy dresses and donate them to us. So they're brand new! Thank you so so much!)

28 Dresses

We're now at 28 dresses! That's 72 dresses to go! Let's try to reach 100 before Christmas, friends! So that we could have time to fix them before giving them to the girls.

We've still got a bit of a way to go, though, so if you've got dresses that you want to donate, email us!

Get Involved

Tillman at en.wikipedia, from Wikimedia Commons
Wondering how you could get involved? The simplest way would be to donate to us your old gowns. As long as they’re still nice to wear and you think they’re still pretty enough to make a girl smile, then we welcome them. If you’re interested in donating your old gowns, email us so we can talk about where to drop them off.

Check out our Get Involved Page for other ways to get involved.

Call to Dream

Henry Tonks (1862-1937) via Wikimedia Commons
For us, girls, getting dressed up and feeling like the most beautiful girl in a room allows us to imagine, to dream, to believe for even a moment that wishes do come true.
The 100 Prom Dresses Experience aims to gather 100 prom dresses to be given to 100 underprivileged girls in Manila for them to use on their prom. We invite you to join us in this endeavor to be Fairy Godmothers to some Cinderellas.
